Stop the week!

Stop the Week - Book Now!'Stop the Week!' is a relaxing and enjoyable alternative to your usual Friday night. Starting at 7pm with a short, guided meditation to relax and unwind from the stress of the week, and then go through to the World Peace Café for a two course meal in the company of friends. These evenings are suitable for complete beginners to meditation - many people bring the whole family, and the meal is always great fun - a chance to meet old friends and make new ones.

Each month we will be serving cuisine from a different country and adding extra events to spice up the evening.

Sponsored walk

Tuesday 1st June - to raise funds for the World Peace Cafe refurbishments

Peter, a student and volunteer at Tara KMC, will walk from Manjushri KMC in Ulverston to Tara KMC in Derbyshire. This challenge will take about 19 days and will cover almost 250 miles. He is doing this unsupported/solo, taking his own camping gear and food for the journey and will be arriving at Tara KMC on the day of our summer Fayre (20th June)

There's also the opportunity to win £150 by correctly choosing the amount of weight that will be lost or gained during this challenge! Simply donate 50p per ticket and you'll be given a numbered ticket. This number corresponds to a weight loss or gain. If after the challenge, your ticket matches the weight - you win!

Tickets are available in our shop.

Please phone 01283 732338 between 2 and 4pm weekdays to sponsor Peter.
