UK Dharma Celebration

Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso

The UK Dharma Celebration is an annual Kadampa Buddhist event held at Tara Centre. Inspired by the modern day Buddhist Master, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. It is a special opportunity for people from across the UK and overseas to gather together and enjoy a meaningful autumn holiday, with spiritual teachings, guided meditations and prayers – a chance to relax with friends in a beautiful and peaceful place. All the proceeds from the UK Dharma Celebration go to the International Temples Project, a Buddhist charity building temples dedicated to World Peace in major cities across the globe.

Buddha Amitayus

This years UKDC will include the empowerment of Buddha Amitayus. The empowerment of Buddha Amitayus is an opportunity to make a special and close conection with the Buddha of long life, merit and wisdom. Through making this connection we can receive powerful blessings which will help us to make swift progress along our spiritual path. We will also receive teachings on Geshe Langri Tangpa’s ‘Eight Verses of Training the Mind’, showing us how, through inreasing our love for others, we can transform our everyday life into the path to inner peace.

Kadam Bridget Heyes

The Celebration will be taught by Kadam Bridget Heyes, the UK National Spiritual Director of the NKT-IKBU and Resident Teacher of Nagarjuna Buddhist Centre. Kadam Bridget is a dedicated disciple of Venerable Geshe-la, known for her powerful teachings, compassionate heart and deep understanding of Buddha’s wisdom advice. She shows an inspiring example for everyone on the spiritual path.
