UK Dharma Celebration 2010
Avalokiteshvara empowerment and teachings
on practising compassion and wisdom together
9th - 12th September

The UK Dharma Celebration is an annual Kadampa Buddhist event held at Tara Centre. Inspired by the renowned Buddhist master Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, this annual celebration is a special opportunity for people from across the UK and overseas to gather together and enjoy a meaningful autumn holiday. Enjoy spiritual teachings, guided meditations, prayers and a chance to relax in a beautiful and peaceful place All the proceeds from the UK Dharma Celebration go to the International Temples Project, a Buddhist charity building temples dedicated to World Peace in major cities across the globe.

The empowerment of Buddha Avalokiteshvara is an opportunity to make a special and close connection with the Buddha of compassion and receive his powerful blessings, through which our own compassion will increase. We will also receive teachings on how to practise compassion and wisdom together.

The Celebration will be taught by Kadam Bridget Heyes, the UK National Spiritual Director of the NKT-IKBU and Resident Teacher of Nagarjuna Buddhist Centre. Kadam Bridget is a dedicated disciple of Venerable Geshe-la, known for her powerful teachings, compassionate heart and deep understanding of Buddha’s wisdom advice. She shows an inspiring example for everyone on the spiritual path.
