voluntary working visits

Agreat way to experience life at the Centre is to come on a working visit. In exchange for 35 hours work, usually spread over five days, you receive:
- Seven days free dormitory accommodation;
- Including three vegetarian meals a day;
- A unique opportunity to meet and work alongside members of
Tara KMC's community and to find out more about the Buddhist way of life; - Free attendance at any classes or courses that may be running at the Centre during your stay.
The work you do could be anything: building, gardening, decorating, cooking or cleaning; working in the World Peace Café or in the office; in the Art room, Sewing room, or the Barn B&B; on a tractor or on a computer - there's always plenty to do! Tara KMC is run entirely by volunteers, and whether you are skilled or unskilled, so long as you're enthusiastic your help will make a big contribution to the Centre's work to benefit all living beings.
Working visits run from Sunday to Sunday and last for up to one week for UK visitors and up to two weeks for international visitors. So if you would like to try a working holiday with a difference, please contact us or fill in an application form by following the link below.
